What is Psycho-educational Testing?

This is a four to nine hour battery of cognitive, educational, perceptual, and language tests that answers the referral questions posed by parents of children with learning, attention, and cognitive difficulties. The test battery will provide a profile of strengths and weaknesses as well as a diagnosis if a learning or language disorder is identified. If there is no identified learning disorder, the test battery will identify a preferred learning style and plots a profile of strengths and weaknesses. The test battery can consist of the following tests:

  • The Gray Oral Reading Tests, Fourth Edition 
  • The Test of Auditory Perceptual Skills-Revised Edition
  • The Test of Visual Perceptual Skills-Revised Edition 
  • The Test of Language Development-Third Edition - Primary
  • The Learning Potential Assessment Device by Reuven Feuerstein 
  • The Keirsey Temperament Sorter
